Your Frequently Asked Questions, Answered.

Account

  • Your account is the gateway to the IssueTracker site.
  • If you haven't already, you can click the sign up button to be get started.
  • Your Choices:
    • You can sign up with your email address and a unique username.
    • Or alternatively sign up with your Github Account, well grab your details for you.
    • You sign in with either your email or username
  • Upon signing up, you'll receive a welcome email from our support team.
  • Should you ever forget your password, on the login page you'll be able to request a password reset email link.
  • If you have signed up with Github, you may set a password and obtain a full account.
  • You'll find more helpful links in the Help & Support dropdown in the nav-bar.

Activity Feed

  • The activity feed is your first port of call on entering the site.
  • Here you will be able view recent users activity and your own personal activity too.
  • The Activity Feed Consists Of:
    • You and others when making new comments on a ticket.
    • You and others when creating a new bug or feature.
    • You and others when a new user joins the site, Say Hi!
    • You and others when purchasing votes for a feature, and the number of votes.
  • Links to comments and tickets can be accessed beside the id of that ticket.
  • You wont appear on the main feed, you'll need to click the 'My Profile' tab to see your own activity.

Avatar

  • Everyone is assigned an Avatar image upon signing up to the site, there're cool!
  • If you wish to change your avatar, click on the Help & Support tab and then choose "Change Avatar Picture"
  • Avatar Gallery
    • The avatar gallery contains a good selection of avatars to choose from, your current image will be already highlighted.
    • To change your image, just click on any image and its done, magic!
    • You'll receive a short notification to confirm the change.
  • Your new avatar image will now appear on all your new and previously existing actions on the site.

Tickets

  • Where there's Code, there's a Bug!
  • Tickets are free to create and voting increases popularity.
  • On the Bugs and Feature's Pages You Can:
    • View the most recently created tickets and paginate through the results.
    • Using the search bar will search through all tickets titles and description's for your search term.
    • Using the filter will filter your results, you can also search and filter results together.
    • Should your Search become to narrow, just click the reset all button to start again.
  • Click the Details button the view the tickets full details and either vote or leave a comment.
  • You can only vote on for a bug once, and you cant vote for your own bug.
  • To vote for a feature, a small fee is required, a discount is given for purchasing a double vote, nice!.

Comments

  • Leave a comment and join in the conversation!
  • Comments are organised from the most the recent, just underneath the tickets details.
  • Features of the Comments Section:
    • Post a comment and while you are typing, keep note of how many characters you have left.
    • Update a comment on the spot, inline editing makes it a breeze to correct any mistakes!
    • Not happy with your comment, remove it. You be asked to confirm before its finalised in case you change your mind.
  • If there are no comments yet, you'll see a placeholder indicating that, be the first a leave one!

Create or Edit a Ticket - for Free!

  • Creating a Ticket is Easy, on either the bugs or features page click the "Create new ..." button.
  • To update a ticket, you'll find the update button on the tickets details page. Only the owner can see these buttons.
  • Edit and Create Tickets Pages Have:
    • A preview is provided so you can see how it will look live.
    • You have the ability to create or edit a title, description and a ticket status.
    • You'll have live feedback on how many remaining characters you have left to write.
    • If you are editing the ticket, you'll have the option to delete the ticket, you'll be required to confirm that you wish to delete it again.
  • Some details for new tickets, such as a ticket id or an updated date, may not be available just yet.
  • After your ticket has been created or updated, depending on if its a bug or feature, you'll be redirected to the listing page for that issue.

Charts

  • Charts are a useful way to visualise data!
  • We make use of Chart.js for display our tickets information.
  • On the Charts Page You'll See:
    • Total Votes for All Bugs and Features
    • Total Number of Bugs and Features
    • Total Status of All Bugs and Features
    • Highest Voted Bug Tickets by ID
    • Highest Voted Feature Tickets by ID
    • Features and Bugs that are being worked on, sorted by earnings and additionally sub-sorted by votes.
  • The charts are mobile responsive and are viewable on a wide range of device sizes.

Cart

  • Support features development buy purchasing votes.
  • You have the option to purchase multiple votes, both single and double. Each item will be a separate item.
  • Your Shopping Cart Has:
    • You'll see an itemised list of the items you have chosen
    • You'll see the number of votes and the cost of that item.
    • You have the ability to remove any items for your cart by selecting the remove item button and clicking the update cart button.
    • An updated total price and item list will then be revised and shown to you before proceeding to the checkout.
  • As you click buy votes, you'll see your cart item number increase.
  • Items will stay in your cart until you logout.

Payments

  • We know how important privacy and security is to you!
  • That's why we use Stripe as our payment processor.
  • Time To Checkout:
    • You'll be able to review your basket once more and see the final charges.
    • We use Stripe own "Elements" code for taking and validating your cards details.
    • Upon successful payment, you'll be notified and brought to a success screen where you can then continue to another area of of site.
    • If for some reason your payment has failed, you will be prompted to try again.
  • No details are every stored by us, not even your billing address, we just dont ask for them.

Contact

  • Have something to ask us, drop us an email ...
  • Both logged in an anonymous users can use the contact form.
  • On The Contact Form You'll Find:
    • A contact form consisting of name, email, subject and message fields.
    • Logged in users will have some of their details pre-populated and are not editable.
    • Our social media links to contact us further, should you need too.
  • After you've submitted the form, you'll receive an email confirming that we have got your message.
